SKINNER AT MILWAUKEE: Skinner has competed in seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races at The Milwaukee Mile. In those seven NCWTS races, Skinner has recorded one win, two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes. Skinner has also claimed two pole positions, most recently in 2007 and also in 1995. The 1995 Truck Series Champion has completed 1302 of 1330 laps competed (97.9%) and led a total of 251 laps at the one-mile track. Skinner’s average starting position is 4.7 and his average finishing position is 11.1. In addition, Skinner has raced in one Nationwide Series event at America’s Legendary Oval.
CHASSIS CHOICE: This weekend, crew chief Eric Phillips and the No. 5 team will unload Randy Moss Motorsports chassis MDM-106. This is the second race of the 2009 season for this Toyota Tundra, as Skinner drove it to a third-place finish at Martinsville Speedway. Prior to Martinsville, this Tundra was brand new.
PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Last week, Skinner and his No. 5 Brooklyn Products/Exide Batteries Toyota Tundra team captured their fourth top-five (seventh top-10) finish of the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule, as the Randy Moss Motorsports crew finished in the fifth position after overcoming left front damage from a multi-truck wreck, along with a speeding penalty on pit road. Skinner is currently third in the NCWTS championship point standings, 44 points behind leader Matt Crafton and only five points behind second-place Ron Hornaday Jr.
CATCH THE ACTION: The Copart 200 from The Milwaukee Mile will take the green flag this Friday, June 19th at 9 P.M. Eastern. Race coverage will be televised live on SPEED, beginning at 8:30 P.M. Eastern, and heard live on select affiliates of MRN Radio and Sirius-XM NASCAR Radio Channel 128, beginning at 8:30 P.M. Eastern.
SKINNER (On racing at The Milwaukee Mile): “Milwaukee is a short-track that is relatively flat, which makes it sort of similar to Phoenix if I compared it to another track that we race at. This summer stretch is going good for our Randy Moss Motorsports team. We have had awesome Toyota Tundras and have had solid finishes to back it up. I think we should have finished higher in a few races, but the biggest thing about this stretch is you have to keep going and put together consistent finishes. We have done this and I’m definitely looking forward to the race this Friday night.”
