Tayler Malsam – No. 81 One Eighty Toyota Tundra

Pre-Race Notes and Quotes

Atlanta Motor Speedway

American Commercial Lines 200

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Welcome Back, One Eighty: For the third consecutive race, One Eighty will be the primary sponsor of the No. 81 Randy Moss Motorsports Toyota Tundra for this weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. One Eighty Racing has sponsored the first two races of the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, at Daytona International Speedway and Auto Club Speedway, where Malsam finished 10th and 24th respectively.

Clay Shoot for Charity: This Thursday, Tayler Malsam will participate in Speedway Children’s Charities’ Annual Clay Shoot and Barbecue at the Cherokee Rose Sporting Resort in Griffin, Ga. The Seattle, Wash. native will learn from the best as the Olympic Shooting Team will be on hand to train the participants. Malsam will use his competitive nature to raise money for local children’s charities, as this event is sponsored by the Atlanta chapter of SCC. For more information about Speedway Children’s Charities, please visit www.speedwaycharities.org.

And the Winner Will Be…: Last week, Ray Dunlap and the rest of the SPEED Channel NCWTS team predicted their championship and Raybestos Rookie of the Year award winners. SPEED personalities, Adam Alexander and Rick Allen both picked Malsam to win the prestigious Rookie award. The 20-year-old will look to prove Alexander and Allen correct, as he currently sits third in the standings, only nine points behind leader J.R. Fitzpatrick.

Boss in Town: Randy Moss, NFL All-Pro Wide Receiver and co-owner of RMM, is scheduled to be at the American Commercial Lines 200 this Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Malsam and teammate Mike Skinner will look to take their Tundras to Victory Lane and give their owner his first trip to the Winner’s Circle.

Malsam at Atlanta: Malsam has never before raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Friday’s morning practice sessions at the 1.54-mile quad-oval will be the first laps on the fast-banked track for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender.

Tayler Malsam on Racing at AMS: “Well, I’ve never raced at Atlanta so I really don’t know what to expect overall. Because I have raced at other mile and a half tracks, I do have some experience on similar tracks, but what I’ve heard is that Atlanta is a little different than other intermediate tracks. Atlanta is a very fast track and there have been close finishes before there, so the racing should be really exciting for the fans. Doug (Wolcott, crew chief) and all of my Randy Moss Motorsports guys have been working really hard and I know they are going to give me an awesome One Eighty Toyota. I’m really looking forward to racing this weekend.”
