Mike Skinner on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway
“Charlotte is such a fun track. I’ve always qualified really well there and we’ve led a bunch of laps during the race, but we’ve never been able to put it all together at the end of the race. We’re using the same truck that we had in Kansas [at Kansas Speedway]. The truck was brand new for that race, but now we’ve had track time with it and we were able to take it back to the shop to make a few adjustments and changes as we worked the kinks out of it. I’m ready to go. We had a strong truck at Dover [International Speedway] last weekend, and we all want to get back into victory lane.”
Crew Chief Gene Nead on competing at Charlotte Motor Speedway
“I’m really excited to have the chance to work with Mike [Skinner] at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He’s been very successful in qualifying at Charlotte [Motor Speedway] and he’s led laps around the track, so now we just need to figure out how to close the deal and get ourselves to victory lane. We had our best finish of the season in the truck that we’re taking to the race and we’re ready to contend for the win this weekend.”
