MALSAM AT DOVER: Friday’s race at Dover International Speedway will be Malsam’s first race at the track known as The Monster Mile. Malsam will look to follow up his top-10 run at Lowe’s with another solid performance at the one-mile oval.
CHASSIS CHOICE: This weekend, crew chief Doug Wolcott and the No. 81 team will unload Randy Moss Motorsports chassis No. 126. This Toyota Tundra has been raced four times so far in the 2009 season, at Auto Club Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway, and most recently at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The highest finish in this chassis came at Lowe’s, where Malsam posted an eighth-place finish.
LEADER OF THE PACK: After his eighth-place finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Malsam expanded his lead in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year point standings. The Seattle, Washington native currently holds a five point lead over James Buescher. Malsam has won the Rookie of the Race award twice in the first six races of the season, as he captured the honor at Atlanta Motor Speedway and most recently at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
THE FIRST SIX: Through the first six races of the 2009 NCWTS season, Malsam and his No. 81 One Eighty team have accumulated two top-10 finishes, a 10th-place finish at Daytona International Speedway and an eighth-place finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. In addition, Malsam has recorded five top-15 finishes, only finishing outside of the top-15 once (24th at Auto Club Speedway).
SUMMER STRETCH: Friday’s 200-lap race at The Monster Mile starts a five-week racing stretch for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Malsam and his No. 81 Toyota team will travel for the next five weeks across the United States and look to stay atop of the Rookie point standings.
DID YOU KNOW?: Crew chief Doug Wolcott led rookie Scott Speed to Victory Lane in last year’s NCWTS race at Dover International Speedway. Wolcott and the No. 81 One Eighty team will look to make it back-to-back wins for rookies this weekend.

MALSAM (On racing at Dover International Speedway): “It was a huge race for us in Charlotte and it’s especially huge going into Dover. Doug (Wolcott, crew chief) has an amazing setup there. They won at Dover last year with Scott Speed as a rookie, and I really believe that we can go there and definitely get a top-five if not have a shot at the win. These guys that work on my One Eighty Toyota do such a great job and they deserve all of the credit. I've never raced at Dover before, but with a good set-up and my team behind me, I know we can perform very well."
MALSAM (On leading the Raybestos Rookie of the Year point standings): "To be leading the Raybestos Rookie of the Year points is a huge accomplishment. At the beginning of the season, one of our goals was to win the Rookie honors and we are on our way to do just that. But by no means is the season over - we have a long way to go and as long as we keep doing what we are doing right now, I think we have a great shot at winning the Rookie award. Runs like we had at Charlotte - never giving up until the race is over - that is what makes us such a competitor, not only in the Rookie points, but in the top-10 drivers championship points. We have had some really good trucks these past couple of races and haven't gotten the finishes that we think we should have, but we are going to keep working on it and hopefully before too long, we will be in Victory Lane."
