• This Week’s Tundra… Mike Skinner and the No. 5 International Truck/Monaco RV team will compete with RMM-104 at Nashville Superspeedway this Friday, April 2nd. RMM-104 last saw racing action at Atlanta Motor Speedway nearly one month ago, when Skinner finished in the 17th position after blowing a tire while running fourth.

Skinner easily holds the record for the most laps led with 250 circuits around the 1.33-mile oval. Ron Hornaday trails Skinner with only 145 laps led. Skinner is also the only driver to hold multiple NASCAR Camping World Truck Series poles at Nashville Superspeedway (2005 and 2007).

Mike Skinner on driving at Nashville Superspeedway
“We’ve been very close to winning the guitar [the trophy at Nashville Superspeedway] a couple times. I had a four- or five-second lead a couple years ago going into the closing laps. There was a late caution and we got beat on fresher tires. It [Nashville] is one of my favorite places; I have friends in the music business there and we always go in a day early to visit everyone and enjoy the city. There is no negative in going to Nashville; it is one of my favorite tracks and one of my cities.”
Crew Chief Gene Nead on racing at Nashville Superspeedway
“Nashville Superspeedway is a great track, and I’m lucky enough to be working with one of the most successful drivers at the track. Our team has consistently been preparing really great trucks; we just haven’t had the luck to bring home a finish that reflects the capability of our team. We hope to put together the whole package this weekend at Nashville [Superspeedway] and to bring home the coveted guitar [trophy].”
